Snowy River Gold Mine
Location
Reefton, New Zealand
CLIENT
Endura Mining

Snowy River Gold Mine, located on the West Coast of the South Island is New Zealand’s next large-scale underground mining operation – currently employing over 80 people, which will increase to over 200 when the mine is fully operational. The target of the operation, known as the Birthday Reef, produced 733,000 ounces of gold over 50 years from the early 1900s. It now offers some of our best mining opportunities thanks to new and improved technology. The mining operation is being developed to deliver low-cost production of approximately 60,000 ounces per year with a mine life of over 10 years, with production expected in December 2026.
