About you:

• Hold a relevant tertiary qualification, such as a Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering Technology, National Diploma in Engineering, or equivalent;
• Ideally 3+ years’ experience in civil engineering and/or land development;
• Practical experience using civil design software such as 12d Model and/or Civil 3D;
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, EPANET, stormwater modelling, 2D flood modelling software and Microsoft Office;
• An understanding of the Resource Management Act (RMA), consenting and planning processes relevant to land development projects;
• Good working knowledge of civil engineering design and construction specifications, standards and relevant codes;
• Strong technical, problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary project teams;
• \New Zealand permanent residency or citizenship is essential for this position.

Our Auckland team is growing, with surveying a relatively recent addition to our service offering in the region, creating a rare opportunity to join at an exciting stage of that growth.

This role will suit a confident and capable surveyor who enjoys taking ownership and delivering projects with minimal oversight. You'll be responsible for managing survey deliverables, solving technical challenges and building strong client relationships, while being supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team. We're looking for someone who is motivated by the opportunity to help establish and grow a highly regarded engineering surveying capability, contributing their expertise, ideas and experience to a growing Auckland team.

About You

We're looking for a capable and motivated surveyor who combines strong technical expertise with a practical, solutions-focused approach.

• A recognised qualification in Surveying, Geospatial Engineering or a related discipline, and significant engineering surveying experience.
• Proven experience delivering infrastructure, asset and construction surveying projects, including deformation monitoring and precision surveying.
• Strong capability in survey fieldwork, data processing, quality assurance and technical reporting.
• Experience with modern survey technology and software, including Trimble SX12, scanning and reality capture workflows.
• The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Be a New Zealand/Australian Citizen or hold NZ permanent residency status.
• A current and full New Zealand driver's licence.

• Familiarity with Cadastral Surveys, including working in Landonline
