| Location | Auckland |
| Services | Project Planning |
| Value | $300 million |
Waitemata District Health Board’s new Inpatients facility will deliver at least 150 extra hospital beds and eight additional operating theatres.
WDHB initially engaged Inovo to provide a comprehensive Development Programme with input from WDHB and key consultants to understand the constraints and risks around the project; develop procurement strategies and construction methodologies to minimise impact on North Shore Hospital; test assumptions, and brief the future construction tenderers on preferred sequence, methodologies and key milestones.
Inovo was subsequently engaged as the Programming Consultant for Design to Completion of the project, currently scheduled for 2023. This includes full preparation of critical path programmes (including Master, Design and Documentation, Construction, FF&E, Commissioning and Decanting & Occupation), review and updating against progress, advice on the availability and appropriateness of building systems and construction techniques, contractor procurement options, review of the contractor’s programme, reporting and risk analysis.
The project is WDHB’s largest expansion in the last 30 years. The four-storey development will include new endoscopy suites, clinical support service spaces and an extended sky bridge link connecting the surgical hospital to the main hospital tower. Water, gas and power infrastructure is also being upgraded.
