Leaking water races prompted this multi-million dollar upgrade project.
Inovo initially joined the KDIC team in an advisory role - chairing the project control group, programme monitoring, identifying potential risks and providing guidance to resolve constraints to project delivery - before stepping into the Lead Project Manager/Client Representative position, while still maintaining the advisory role reporting to the KDIC Board and their financier.
44 kilometres of open canal are being replaced with 37km of underground piped irrigation infrastructure, doubling the coverage from 1983ha to 4000ha, with the capacity to expand to a potential 5500ha. The new pipeline offers a more environmentally friendly and reliable source of water than the tributaries currently utilised.
