The Hunua Trail is an economic development and tourism initiative seeking to improve access to the Hunua Ranges park for recreational use.
Inovo was engaged to manage the feasibility stages of the project, including identifying stakeholders; establishing a working group; leading community and Local Authority engagement; consultation with Iwi; drafting an Aspirational Plan; developing and submitting the NZ Cycle Network accreditation application; commissioning a health and safety audit of the proposed route, and preparing recommendations for the implementation of the trail.
The vision is to create a world class 45km walking and cycling recreational route through the beautiful Hunua Ranges linking Clevedon to Kaiaua on the Firth of Thames.
