Guide Hill Station is a remote hospitality development on a greenfield site 20km outside Tekapo.

On behalf of an offshore client, Inovo developed a Master Plan for the development of the site to include an extensive infrastructure upgrade, eight visitor accommodation units with a total floor area of over 1200m², a restaurant, chapel and stargazing facilities. As part of the foreign purchase of Guide Hill Station the Overseas Investment Office required that a research facility was provided for Lincoln University science students.

The site is on the edge of Lake Pukaki and is an area of environmental significance which has required major consideration from designers to ensure that the ECAN and Resource consent process, led by Inovo, was approved without major issue.

Inovo has provided infrastructure design including new roading, potable water infrastructure, septic and stormwater reticulation and distribution, new site electrical supply infrastructure and electrical reticulation, and is currently delivering those works as well as new building works. Inovo has also managed the design development of plans for a new homestead.

The research facility was delivered using modular construction methods. A high-end, 800m² stables is also being delivered by Inovo through a design and build method incorporating 14 stables, vetting and tacking areas, washdown facilities and office space.
