Housing New Zealand’s building at 139 Greys Avenue is at the end of its life, is no longer fit for purpose and does not meet the needs of the tenants.
Inovo has been engaged as Development Manager, responsible for the overall planning, procurement and delivery of the project.
The existing building will be demolished and replaced with three new towers containing 275 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments along with 2000m² of indoor communal space including a shared kitchen, dining hall, recreation space and on-site support services such as healthcare, counselling and skill development.
Inovo’s scope includes investigation and assessment of in-ground utilities and ground contamination/building contamination (asbestos and other hazardous materials); design development of the new buildings and facilities within strict budget controls; development of construction methodologies, procurement options; assessment of delivery risks and mitigations; demolition and new build delivery.
