Ridgeline at Cashmere Estate

Ridgeline at Cashmere Estate

As Ridgeline moves rapidly from concept to reality, our team at Inovo is proud to support the transformation of this stunning hilltop landscape into one of Christchurch’s most desirable residential enclaves. With road construction now well underway across the Ridgeline site, the next generation of home sites is beginning to take shape against sweeping views of the Port Hills, Christchurch city, and the distant Southern Alps.

Significant earthworks and retaining-wall construction continue to reshape the terrain into build-ready platforms. Stage 5 has now delivered 5,000 m² of retaining walls and 87,000 m³ of earthworks. Stage 6 will add a further 8,000 m² of retaining walls and around 150,000 m³ of earthworks, delivered over four substages.

On the utilities front, and in collaboration with Beca, we are delivering the full water-supply infrastructure: designing a water-supply pump station, rising main, temporary tank farm to service Stage 5, and permanent water reservoirs for Stages 5 and 6. We are also progressing planning and design for the undergrounding of the 66 kV supply, enabling critical infrastructure to be discreetly accommodated beneath the surface while minimising visual and environmental impacts.

As engineering lead, we continue to deliver all associated civil engineering, consenting, erosion and sediment control, and stormwater management, ensuring the development meets stringent environmental and regulatory standards as this new community takes shape.

Inovo has worked on the development of Cashmere Estate since early 2019, when we became lead consultant providing a full range of land development services in resource management planning, surveying, civil engineering and project management for one of the last remaining greenfield hillside areas set aside for development in Christchurch.
