Inovo was initially engaged by Nexia as project managers to undertake an assessment of the damage sustained by their medical rooms in the 2010/2011 Canterbury earthquake sequence and assist with resolving the insurance claim. Subsequently Inovo provided a remediation strategy and managed the delivery of a rebuild of the south wing. The programme of works was carried out in a live environment and involved consultation with and relocation of existing tenants. New key tenants were also secured during the rebuild, requiring the project to be put on hold temporarily to allow for the re-sizing and re-design of the tenancies, while a portion of the building was left at the base build stage to allow for future fit outs.

Inovo then managed the design, consents, procurement and delivery stages of the fit out for four tenants – Lovegrove Periodontics, The Omega Clinic, Dilworth Hearing and Stryker Medical Technology Company. These tenants had individual specialist design requirements, including medical gasses, hydraulics, data requirements for hi-tech dental chairs, detailing and construction of interconnecting audiology rooms, technician rooms and an external distribution and secure collection area.
